- Summary
- Jack Paar's stint as host transformed The Tonight Show into an entertainment juggernaut. Paar's focus was compelling conversation-he was a superb storyteller himself-and Paar's guests were literate raconteurs, rather than scripted actors selling their current films. The combination was amazingly unpredictable, resulting in many memorable occurrences thanks to Paar's genuine, enthusiastic engagement with both his guests and his audience
