- Based on the novel by Melvin Burgess. Tom finds himself transported back in time to WWII England where he meets and befriends an orphaned evacuee, May. His strange experience has an effect on events both in the past and in the present. Alone & afraid, he makes friends with May. May tries to persuade him to stay safe with her at the farm, but Tom is afraid of being trapped in the past forever
